The 8th Circuit Terres del Mestral filled the Club with sport and camaraderie
On March 28th and 29th, our Club prepared to host the VIII Circuit Terres del Mestral – Final Copa Sud N3 Optimist, one of the most outstanding competitions of the basic sailing season.
Throughout the weekend, young Optimist class sailors, accompanied by coaches and families, shared days marked by enthusiasm, camaraderie and sportsmanship.
A regatta that could not be held due to the storm
Despite the high expectations and extensive organizational efforts, adverse weather conditions ultimately prevented the planned water events from taking place. The safety of the participants was always the top priority, which is why the decision was made to cancel the competition.
Much more than a competition
Although the regatta couldn't take place, the atmosphere at the Club was excellent. Sailors from various clubs still enjoyed a weekend of camaraderie, sharing experiences and their passion for sailing. The event once again demonstrated the importance of these kinds of gatherings, not only from a sporting perspective, but also from a human and educational one.
We would like to especially thank the sailors, coaches, families and participating clubs for their attendance, understanding and enthusiasm.
